I had to do something drastic to pull me out of the loop

Your subconscious mind holds the beliefs that aren’t true.

“Oh my god if I spend $3,000, I’ll never get it back.”

But what if you spent that $3,000 and tripled it?

I was in the loop.

It was 2015 and we had just bought a house and moved from Seattle to Gig Harbor after getting married.

I knew I wanted to be a Health Coach, but after making basically no money as a full-time fitness instructor, I didn’t think it was possible to make more than $40,000 a year.

I had maxed out my efforts, bought all the DIY programs and watched all the free content on how to make my passion an actual business, but I was tired.

Exhausted. Working to the bone with a full coaching schedule, but making the tiniest amount of money, I was desperate, but trapped in the loop.

“I make no money, so I have none to invest.”

Hmmm…. 

I got on a call with someone I knew I would kill it with, because I liked her vibe and I liked how powerful I felt when talking to her. I felt like I could actually make it with her on my side.

It was on this call that I got out of the loop.

I said yes, didn’t have the money to invest and took a chance on me.

Something I thought I had done, but not at this level and it skyrocketed my commitment, confidence and goals to succeed.

It’s been nearly four years of hard work, dedication and focus and I’ve doubled my income every year since working with her.

I always think… “what if I would’ve said no AGAIN and stayed in the loop of, can’t invest because I’m scared?” I already know what would’ve happened, because I had been doing it for 4 years prior to hiring a coach.

In 12 days I’m heading to Arizona for a retreat and photo shoot and it’s because I got out of the loop.

Take my advice and get out of the loop!

Day 2 of 10 Day Weight Loss + Auto Immune Healing Challenge

Results from being intentional about what I was eating and how much I was moving:

Less bloat both in my stomach and in my face.

Weight yesterday: 130

Weight today: 127.2 (this isn’t typical, I think it’s because I stopped eating at 6:30pm)

Difference after 1 day: 2.8 pounds down

Now this big difference could be due to bloating before I got my period and less mindless eating. I knew it would be a dramatic shift because once I’m focused, I’m laser beam.

Here’s everything I did yesterday and what I thought I’d complete:

I thought I would hit 10,000 steps easy, but didn’t realize how tired I was and how much I needed to rest. I only got 2,000 because it was the most lazy day of my life and because I did a 90 minute barre intensive on Saturday and my legs were like jello.

Nutrition:

First, I’m happy you get to see this because it’s not my normal and some people think I’m a green juice, water, clean freak 24/7 and I’m not.

You’ll see…

SUNDAY EATING AND DRINKING NOTES:

  • Wake Up Starving
  • Macro Bar – Sunflower Seed Butter flavor
  • Celery Lemon Juice by Suja
  • Few handfuls of Veggie Chips made with Chickpea flour, potato flour, broccoli, other veggies. All gluten, dairy, gmo, soy free, etc. but still processed chips and they weren’t that good, but I wanted to try them.
  • Lemonade made by my Mom: 3 and a half lemons, 2 drops of liquid stevia, water and ice and it was BOMB
  • Banana
  • Steak with sweet potatoes mixed with pancetta and salad with avocado, olive oil and balsalmic
  • Healthy Root Beer Float: 5 spoonfuls of So Delicious No Sugar Added Vanilla Bean with Virgil’s stevia sweetened Root Beer
  • Few bites of Macro Bar
  • 6:30pm done eating and full
  • Water 3 liters

So there you have it! I should’ve set my goal at either barre or 10,000 steps per day with our ever changing schedule, so we’ll see what happens.

I don’t have strict rules with myself, it sends me into a terrible headspace.

How Cheryl lost 16 pounds and decided fear wasn’t going to hold her back

Meet Cheryl:  In this week’s How SHE did it interview, we have Cheryl Ross, a world class dog trainer who lost 16 pounds in less than 90 days and continued losing even more weight post graduating!

Cheryl used the Fearful to Fit program to not only lose the weight, she also reframed time in the kitchen as meditation versus reaching for the quick grab n’ go’s.

So How Did SHE Do It?

The Challenge:  

Cheryl tried losing weight on ALL THE DIETS, had success and once they were over, went right back to eating in a way that was comfortable. The weight crept back on and she was at a loss. She hated being in the kitchen, her work schedule was back to back and she had no extra time to shop n’ chop produce.

She also didn’t how to to wear anything other than work clothes and since she works with dogs all day, you can imagine she’s usually in a t – shirt and pants she can get dirty in. She wanted to spruce it up, but wanted to wait until she lost some weight before she started changing how she was dressing.

The Solution:  

You’ll watch Cheryl say on the video below that she wasn’t sure at the beginning of our call how it would go. She may have even mentioned, “scam!” She said during the call she started to soften and when she tried to get out of moving forward, I said, “Cheryl, don’t make fear the decision maker.” It was the start of multiple life changes throughout our time together.

We created a solution for what to eat based on what she already liked to eat and focused on eating real food that was quick n’ easy. I also challenged her to attack a few foods she wasn’t familiar with and she ended up liking them.

Her weight loss inspired a personal stylist consultation that this 30 year old felt excited about! Yes! She can rock the stylish outfits that also work for being in the barn all day.

The Results:  

Cheryl lost 16 pounds, learned how to feel good in her body based on her new-found and very strong intuition and realized how eating healthy affects who she is as a person.

HER future:

As a Fearful to Fit Graduate, she’s continuing to lose weight at a pace that works for her, she’s even set a new goal! She’s about to finish up a life coaching certification program and is creating new programs within her dog training business.
